Thompson crash kills 4

As the teams prepared to compete on the field over this holiday weekend, the weather was picture perfect.

THOMPSON (WFSB) – THOMPSON, On Monday, a violent collision claimed the lives of four individuals from Rhode Island and left a fifth person in critical condition.

The state police have said that Johan Santana, who was 18 years old at the time of the accident, was attempting to pass another vehicle when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree.

In addition to Santana, the car accident claimed the lives of Jaslin Perez, 21, Ericka Perez, 21, and Lixandra Almonte, 21; all of them were residents of Providence.

A fifth passenger, identified as 21-year-old Alfonso Lopez, was transported by the Life Star helicopter to the Rhode Island Hospital and was classified in serious condition there.

According to the state police, their vehicle was involved in a collision with the tree at the intersection of Quaddick Town Farm Road and Taylor Road.
