Nigeria's Abuja Sunday, gunmen opened fire and exploded explosives at a Catholic church in southern Nigeria, state legislators claimed.

Legislator Ogunmolasuyi Oluwole said assailants attacked St. Francis Catholic Church on Pentecost Sunday. He stated several children died.

Adelegbe Timileyin, a Nigerian lawmaker from Owo, stated the presiding priest was also seized.
