Netflix cancels a great show

Netflix terminated The Midnight Gospel after one season. Fans of the series were given a completely different show.

As is frequently the case, creator Duncan Trussell announced the show's discontinuation on Twitter (via MovieWeb).

The writer and comedian made the statement in answer to a fan's question regarding The Midnight Gospel season 2.

His answer is short and simple and explains what's occurring (or not happening) with the animated series.

This is designed to reflect the show's interplanetary atmosphere while simultaneously stating Netflix's stats weren't good enough.

The decision-makers didn't like The Midnight Gospel. Trussell praised Netflix for supporting a unique show.
