A winning Powerball ticket worth $500,000 that was purchased at a grocery shop in Greenville by a winner from the Upstate has been paid in.

The ticket was purchased at the Publix located on Pelham Road by the winner who wishes to remain anonymous

Even though he did not match the Powerball number,

He was awarded $500,000 in the Double Play drawing since he did match the first five numbers.

According to him, he was taken aback when authorities from the lottery in Columbia gave him the winning sum.
